Our journey began in 2017 when we brought home our first Goldendoodle, Lexi. She was my husband and I’s first dog together and she quickly became the heart of our home—and the reason we fell in love with Goldendoodles.

Raising puppies has been part of my life since childhood. Growing up, my family bred Golden Retrievers. I have such fond memories of spending hours in our old farm building helping care for newborn puppies. Those early experiences shaped my passion and gave me the hands-on knowledge I still use today.

Eventually, my husband and I decided to take the leap and have a litter of our own with Lexi. Her first litter was born, and we just couldn’t let go of one special puppy: Ava, the tiniest of the bunch. From day one, we knew she was staying with us. And with that, Griswold Goldens was born. We added Bernedoodles to our program in 2021 and are in LOVE with their mellow temperaments all while maintaining that low to no shedding coat we love!

We’re a small, in-home breeder of F1, F1b, and multi-generational Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles, located in the quiet town of Bergen, New York—conveniently situated between Buffalo and Rochester. Whether you're nearby or far away, we offer flexible options for getting your puppy home, including ground transportation or flying your puppy out for an additional fee.

Our mission is to raise healthy, well-socialized, top-quality doodles so more families can experience the loyal, loving companionship these dogs offer. All of our dogs are part of our family—they live in our home or with trusted guardian families. We do not use kennels. Our puppies are raised in a loving environment and are handled daily to ensure they’re ready for a smooth transition into your home.
